Camargo Store 1910 Final website

This building served as the Camargo School until 1903.
It was about a half of a mile north of the Camargo Village at 15 McDeal Road.
In 1910 a fifteen year old, Ernest Fife along with others, used logs to roll it to the present day location.
William Bryant and his Wife, Cordelia (Exie), were the first to own and operate the store.
William was the brother of village physician, Dr. John Bryant.

Many people played a role in identifying the names with dates and suppling pictures
of the owners/operators of the little store in Camargo.  Bobby Mullins was the one
who supplied names and pictures to get me started.  Others were William Bryant's grandniece,
Randy Delap along with members of his office, Lynn Towry, Lois Elmore Chaplin,
Juanita Winford Towry, Kirk Smith, Jerry Mansfield, David Mansfield,
 Joan Hardiman, and Bea Williams.
